OCR I - Intro to Obstacle Courses
Curriculum Overview:
- Gym rules and etiquette
- Safety protocols (safe landing, falling, rolling, sliding)
- Basic obstacle and movement techniques
- Minimal fitness training provided
- Required as a first class for any athlete new to the program, regardless of ability or goal
- Can be attended by recreational or competitive racers anytime for a refresher
OCR II - Recreational Racing
Curriculum Overview:
- Safety protocols are practiced regularly
- Intermediate-intensity strength and conditioning training
- Intermediate running and cardio training
- Obstacle and movement techniques and proficiency
- The class goal is to prepare athletes to participate in OCR events SAFELY
- Culture is fun, supportive, and inclusive
- Can be attended by any athlete who has completed at least one intro class
OCR III - Competitive Racing
Curriculum Overview:
- Intense strength and conditioning training
- Intense running and cardio training
- Effective race strategy, including fueling/nutrition
- Obstacle navigation, transition efficiency, and speed
- Individual training plans provided
- Performance is measured quarterly
- Class goal is to prepare athletes to participate in OCR events COMPETITIVELY
- Class culture is supportive, focused, and challenging
- Can be attended by any athlete completing at least one intro class and desiring to train hard and/or race competitively
